2014 BACK2SCHOOL FUNDAY

In the Back-to-School spirit and to celebrate its REAL Kids Month, the Wake / Durham-based organization invited Triangle area students to get a free book bag and fill it up with free school supplies at its 2nd Annual Book Bag Buffet from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Brierdale Shopping Center in Brier Creek.
The keynote speaker will be N.C. Rep. Rosa Gill (D-Wake). Along with the buffet line of school supplies, the family-friendly event doubles as a festival of vendors, snacks, face-painting and bouncy-house fun.
The young female deejay sensation DJ Beauty and the Beatz from Washington, DC, will provide the music. The event will culminate with a Kids Fashion Show.

2013 BACK2SCHOOL FUNDAY

11 year old Heven Rooks, Spokeperson for ByREAL Kids, partnered with local charity Father's Forever to hand out over 200 book bags to children in need August 17, 2013. Even in the rain parents and children flocked to the Family Fun Fair Dream Center in Raleigh, North Carolina where our First Annual Back to School Book Bag Buffet was featured.

Families who attended last years event not only received free school supplies but were also treated to free entertainment. There were numerous vendors at the event as well as performances by local artist. Headed by Rose Wilder and ISTA Productions a special fashion show was featured showcasing ByREALKids members modeling their book bags and back to school clothes.

Parents and children from Pre-K to 12th grade patiently waited for their turn to choose from the buffet of book bags and school supplies. Members of the ByREALKids Organization, who served as "servers" on the buffet lines, helped the children pick the supplies they needed according to grade level.
